Victorville CA #37 - Making basketball courts great again
The pickleball court was at one time a basketball court until someone decided to bring a firearm one day to the courts. Because of that situation, the basketball court was shut down and replaced with a pickleball court. Due to the narrow court design, only a single pickleball court could be placed on it with a dinking court at one end. The players in Victorville were very welcoming and we had a great time playing with them.Roger had an interesting serve, a carryover from his table tennis days. Roger was very friendly and it was delightful to play on the court against him. All the players were very nice and gave us some good play. If we lived in Victorville, I could see us playing here regularly.
Annette and Barb dinking with each other. Annette was interested in the Paddletek Tempest Wave Pro Barb was playing with, so Barb let her try it out for awhile.
Gil arrived just prior to our leaving and therefore we didn't have a chance to be on the court with him. Gil plays with a prosthetic leg, so he has to be more intentional than most with his shots. Harold would have enjoyed partnering with him for a game or two.
Thanks Roger, Annette, Michelle, Linda, Rodriguez, and Gil. We had an enjoyable time.
